After six years with CarXpress the job stopped being any fun. If nothing else, one thing I have learned about the car
business is; as long as I am having fun I automatically earn money. When I am not having any fun I don't seem to be
able to close a door. I thought maybe I just needed a break so I took a few months off to clear my head. Before long
my nest egg had become non existent and detailing was not feeding the bull dog so I figured I had better get back to
work. Aside from experiencing burnout; the year brought with it some other challenges. What started out as a bad day
stretched into a bad week into a bad month ultimately looking like a bad year. At one point I began to think I could not
sell anymore. Though I was fast becoming a liability, the owner of CarXpress was very understanding and continued
to carry me. Just the same, I figured I better quit before he would fire me. Not that he would have because he is such
a gentleman but I did not want to put him in that position. Anyway, while I finished out my two weeks, I got a call from
the local Cadillac dealer asking if I wanted a job. After a couple of interviews, I decided to give them a try. Mike and I
parted as friends and I moved over to Rohrich Cadillac. That was March 2006.
