WELCOME TO TIPS & TRICKS
this months trick is called
NO "E"
January 2008
When it gets cold out, things freeze; most commonly water.  When water freezes, it turns to ice.
Enough of it can split, crack, explode, and destroy things.

Did you know that all gas has water in it?  Unlike gas, water does not burn (you probably knew that)
Since it does not burn it accumulates at the bottom of your gas tank.  When the tank gets low, guess what?
The water gets sucked through your fuel pump & into your lines. Not only does running your tank low stress the pump which
is inside your tank, it causes the pump the suck up all the impurities lying on the bottom of your tank which could assist in
blowing your pump out.  Most fuel pumps are located inside the fuel tank which means if you burn up the pump,
the tank has to come down in order for it to be replaced.  That takes time & time equals money.  If you just filled up your tank
when your pump decides to quit, kiss that money goodbye.  I don’t know about you but my last fill up cost me fifty five dollars.
OUCH! I can’t afford to throw that away, so this month’s tip is, no “E”.

Fill 'er up at half time.

You never want to ride around on "E", but you most certainly don’t want to be doin’ it in the winter.  Less fuel means more
water, water turns to ice and enough of it will cause your car not to start.  Can you say fuel line freeze up?  No fun when it is
30 degrees and you are late for work.  That is why the word of the month, NO E!

Chat with ya next month.
