I have been detailing cars since I was twelve.

It is more than a job for me.  It is a fantasy.  I break out my chemicals, fire up my buffer
and spend fifteen to twenty hours transforming a vehicle that in the eyes of most is all
used up.  My most recent project is Buck the Buick.  Buck was originally purchased as a
back up car for my Mom.  After closer survey, it turned out that Buck needed more work
than originally thought.  At first I thought that perhaps I would just pass on the car but then I
got to thinking, I already gave my word.  I said I would buy it, so I did.
August 27th 2008.
Right off the bat we got off to a bad start.  The very first day the starter locked up.  I knew
going in that I would need an exhaust and brakes.  Already I was getting a little edgy
since I like to own all my riders from a liquid position.  Any way after paying attention to
the starter, I took Buck to the muffler shop.  I prefer Meineke in South Park.  The very next
day I put brakes on in the rain and two days later I patched a hole in the body hoping she
would take a sticker.   Already I had spent way more money than I wanted especially
considering that the paint was flat and the clear coat was pealing.  At this point the only
way to get my money back was to drive the car and that I did.
Buck The Buick
Enter Buck...

As previously stated, Buck needed some pretty serious attention.  The radio was on the
blink, the cat was bad, the stickers were up, the battery was weak and that was what I
could tell from a quick once over.  I had yet to even open the hood.  I decided Buck was in
no condition to escort my mother around so I began to preparing him for resale.

I began with a full interior detail.  I meant to take before photos but forgot...

One thing I decided to do from here on in is to calculate what it cost me to switch up cars
as I do.
